DAY 01 : ARRIVAL ISTANBUL (D)
Arrival to Istanbul airport and meet with our Tour Representative. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 02: ISTANBUL (B,D)
Departure from hotel and visit to Chora museum which is famous for well preserved frescos & mosaics. Then we will visit St.Sophia museum is one of the great architectural marvels of the ancient world. We continue on to the Hippodrome, the sportive and political center of the Old City. Blue Mosque, facing St. Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. At last we will browse around the exciting Grand bazaar, a maze of over 4000 tiny shops selling gold, jewelry, leatherwork and fine carpets. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY03:ISTANBUL / KAYSERI / CAPPADOCIA (B,D)
Transfer to Istanbul airport early in the morning to catch a flight to Kayseri. Drive to Capapdocia and we visit the incredible Underground City of Kaymakli where early Christians lived secretly in order to survive and keep their faith. Picture stops will be given at the Valley of the Birds and at the foot of the Uchisar Castle. Afterwards proceed to the Goreme Valley to visit the rock carved churches hollowed out of volcanic ash. We also visit Avanos Village the famous local pottery and carpet shows allowing ample time for shopping in the afternoon. Also time will be allocated for the local souvenir shopping before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 04: CAPPADOCIA / KONYA / PAMUKKALE (B,D)
Following an early breakfast we will drive to Konya. Konya was the center of the Selcuk Empire as well as the city of Mevlana and his Whirling Dervishes. After visiting the Mevlana Museum, we will continue to Pamukkale.
DAY 05: PAMUKKALE / KUSADASI (B,D)
You will tour the Antique City of Hierapolis where Calcareous hot springs descending over cliffs have created fascinating travertines in the form of white terrace and basins. Drive to Kusadasi.
DAY 06: KUSADASI / CRUISE / PATMOS (B,L,D)
Following breakfast we drive to Selcuk to visit the House of Virgin Mary on top of Mt. Coressos. Then our memorable visit to Ephesus will begin as well as viewing one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, the Temple of Artemis (One of the Seven Wonders of Antiquity).Embark our cruise. Cruise first stop will be in Patmos, the Holy island where St. John wrote The Revelation, known as Jerusalem of the Aegean Sea. Take the OPTIONAL TOUR to visit the Monastery and Grotto of St. John. Overnight on board.
DAY 07: HERAKLION CRETE – SANTORINI: (B,L,D)
Heraklion, the capital of Crete. At leisure or take an OPTIONAL TOUR to visit the fantastic ruins of the Palace of Knossos. The elaborate palace is believed to be the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos (Minotaur legend) and the seat of the Minoan civilization. Cruise departure to Santorini. OPTIONAL TOUR on the amazing island of Santorini (formed by the eruption of the volcano 1600 BC). The sight is the most breathtaking of all Greek islands and perhaps of the world. Enjoy the last night on board live entertainment, disco or, casino etc. Overnight on board.
Day 08: CRUISE ARRIVAL ATHENS / DELPHI – KALAMBAKA (METEORA): (B,D)
Breakfast on board. Disembark. Meet at the Athens port of Piraeus and with an official English Speaking Guide proceed on your two days tour. Leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus, arrive in Delphi, and visit the Archaeological site. See the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, the Treasury of the Athenians. In the afternoon leave Delphi for an interesting trip through central Greece to Kalambaka (Meteora). Dinner in the hotel. Overnight in Kalambaka hotel.
DAY 09: KALAMBAKA (METEORA) / ATHENS: (B,D)
After breakfast, visit Meteora with its impressive scenery, ageless Monasteries, suspended between earth and sky. Inside, see priceless historical and religious treasures. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. Arrive back in the evening and transfer to a local restaurant for dinner. After dinner transfer to the hotel and check in. Overnight in Athens Hotel.
DAY 10: ATHENS SIGHTSEEING – SHOPPING: (B)
After breakfast, pickup from the hotel for your half day morning tour. With an official English speaking guide, see Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament and the Tomb to the Unknown Soldier, guarded by the Evzones in their traditional costume. See the Athens Academy, the University and the National Library. Stop at the Pan Athenaic Olympic stadium, (where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896). See the archaeological site of the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the Parthenon. free time for shopping in Plaka Area and Syntagma Square (Coach and English Speaking Assistant Service Included). Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11: DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
DAY 12: ARRIVAL MANILA: Home sweet home!
